These single-page illustrations are by Raul Colon. He has a peculiar (and awesome) ability to capture the idea of bright colors, even though the majority of his palettes are very muted. I think he lets complimentary colors bounce off of each other in a really pleasing way--you get that that pumpkin is a really dusty, dull orange, but it explodes off of that gray-blue background.
