I thought these were some particularly great spreads from Henrik Drescher's The Yellow Umbrella. He really knows how to fill the space/ use the page break in the spread, and create a sweeping movement that creates space with pretty flat components. His texture and minimal color really direct your eye to where he wants you to look first and I think each spread is well planned in that way.
