Jillian Tamaki finished these beautiful embroidered covers for Penguin "Threads" last year. The gradients and detail within each component are intimidating to say the least. They even printed the backstitching on the interiors of the french flaps. Even though they're paper backs, they look and sell like collector's items. It's a beautiful thing when a publishing company places their trust in an illustrators creative exploration.
