I need to post more spreads, but I'm a huge fan of covers. The Killing Joke (Inks Only) by Brian Bolland. He's able to use a hatching technique for faces, which is mind-boggling. Not afraid of solid blacks either, and in this case the hatched areas and the solid blacks aren't fighting each other. Love his detail-work.
